Serious-GamingCurrently the best Finish team Serious-Gaming announced today that they will be hiring in the H2k player plastE to step in for toNppa during the ESWC 2006 qualifiers for Counter-Strike. That event will take place in Helsingfors between 22-23rd of April with online qualification groups a few weeks before that again. Highscore: KRAPYL in, darok out! *update

Today team Highscore announced that they are recruiting a new player, and that player is non other then Thomas Berntsen Ovesen or better known as KRAPYL. He is mostly known from former teams such as Ethnic, Glorify, Significant, Athronic and A.G.C. He impressed the team Highscore after playing against them at digiLAB which later led them to recruit him only as a step in during the subnet LAN. SEC 2006: x6tence wins

SECNot so long ago the finals at the CS:Source tournament where played in the WCG 2006 Samsung Euro Championship (SEC) in Hanover Germany. The two teams that faced each other are x6tence. They went trough the entire tournament without a single loss. They were going to face off Pentagram who they already met once before but managed to beat 16:13. Map for the final was de_inferno and here team x6tence took a early lead as CT ending the first half 12:3 after some great defensive play. At the second half as Terrorists, they managed to start off by winning the gun round making it easy for them the next two rounds and after some great offence in the last round they won the match and  ending the score 16:03. flashbackThe norwegian team flashback has added two well-known players to their lineup. The players are none other than urbancha0s and viid. Both of them are well known in the norwegian cs-community, and they have played for teams like: Highscore , athronic and reGrets. flashback has already announced that they are gonna attend Norways biggest LAN, namely The Gathering , who is held in Hamar , Norway from April 12 to April 16. SEC 2006: More results!

We are now nearing the end at the WCG 2006 Samsung Euro Championship (SEC) at the CeBIT event center in Hanover, Germany. It started off with well over 250 players coming from 25 different nations, but now we are down to the final few. A lot of surpries and upsets have been made in the Counter-Strike:Source tournament as a lot of great countries/teams were knocked out. Countries such as: Sweden, Norway and Germany. The team that has impressed the most are the Spanish team x6tence. They have gone trough the entire tournament without a single loss and won matches versus teams such as: Catch-Gamer, Pentagram and finally TeG who they beat just recently in the winner bracket finals. team slakktThe CPL Winter 2005 attended Norwegian team slakkt announced today that they will be going in-active from today which means the team will not be attending the upcomming The-Gathering which is being held in Hamar, Norway between 12-16th of April. The reason is several of complications that have come up within the team which made them make this decision. Hopefully it will not be too long before we see them back in action once again. WEG moves its location

WEGThe World Esports Games (WEG Masters 2006) organization has decided to move the entire tournament. It was supposed to be hosted in South Korea like the three previous successful editions. Instead this years WEG Masters will take place at the Hangzhou Zhejiang University Yongqian Center in China. It is also said that the entire tournament will have Live Internet broadcasting. Liga.no - Another Norwegian League

Liga.no is a Norwegian online league that focuses on the ever so popular game Counter-Strike 1.6. So far there are 70 attending teams divded into three different divisions based on how well the team performed in the qualification rounds that were played earlier. Their main goal with this league is to bring some culture to the players as well hopefully try to remove the cheating among players. At the moment the league is runned by 8 people, with Lars Christian 'Hard_Ass' Aasen in the lead and this round of the league will last until mid April. Pite MidnightNot so long ago several of the hottest teams out there announced that they will be attending the Pite Midnight tournament which is being arranged at the end of May. The tournament holds a staggering cash purse of 250.000SEK. So far the tournament directors have managed to get the best team from Sweden to attend such as; SK, NiP and fnatic. The tournament will hold 256 teams so lets hope these six well known teams that have signed up so far are just the beginning of many more that will attend as well.
