KODE 5 Qualifiers : SK.de Win!

This weekend the Kode 5 Qualifiers in Germany were played where a total of eight teams participated. Among those 8 teams, the favorites where the German SK.de and the Polish top team Pentagram. And it would be these two teams that would go all the way to the finals. SK.de came from the lower bracket, this mens that they needed to beat Pentagram on two maps, while Pentagram needed only one since they came from the upper bracket. The finals turned out to be really even, but it would SK.de who would pull the longest straw and be crowned as the tournament champion. To view the result press read full story.


Striker leaves CheckSix.USA

The American team CheckSix, which we saw at this years Intel Summer Championship where they managed to place on a strong 7th position announced that one of their players, Noah "Striker" Alvarado will be leaving. Team64.AMD with a new lineup

The well known German organization Team64.AMD decided not so long ago to remove their Counter-Strike squad from the organization. One of the reasons was due to poor performance in the German ESL Pro Series league. Well now finally the organization has found and announced their new team which holds players from former top teams such as: mTw, SK-Gaming.de and Speedlink.de. mtnine minus two

Today the Norwegian clan mtnine which you can see in action at Xenox RH 2006 the first of august announced that two of their newly recruited players, VERAC and dark4angel, are in fact leaving the team. The reason of them leaving is still unknown, but apparently it was dark4angel that left the team first and VERAC followed right after him due that he does not wish to play without him on the team. The World eSports Games (WEG) have released the official movie about this years WEG Masters 2006 Counter-Strike tournament. The movie features parts from both the practice room which the players used and the live stage matches as well which you did not get to see before. a-Losers with a new team

Almost a month ago the German gaming organization a-Losers decided not to extend contract with their Counter-Strike team. Well since the a new season of the prestige ESL Pro Series being just around the corner, the organization announced the new players that will be representing a-Losers in ESL. wNv swaps players

The well known Chinese gaming organization wNv, who are most known for their two world class Counter-Strike teams, announced that the two teams will be doing some player swapping among them selves. wNv.Gaming, who is the better of these two teams, recruited two players from wNv.cn, Minwoo Xing Ju “tK” Ma and Jiang “Mikk” Pu. While wNv.cs recevied Minwoo Xing Ju “tK” Ma and Jiang “Mikk” Pu, who were forced to leave wNv.Gaming. These changes were done after that wNv.Gaming did not live up to the expectations at this years ESWC tournament, where they got knocked out of the tournament during group play. After receiving a offer to play professional football, Raphael 'Cogu' Camargo has decided to leave the Brazilian top team, Made in Brazil (mibr). Ever since he was a child it has been his dream too play football on a professional level, and after getting an invitation from his uncle to play for a team in Quatar, it was an offer he could not refuse. The player to replace cogu will be Pava, the same player who was an stand-in for team g3x at this years Intel Summer Championship. A lot has been going on lately around in the Finish Counter-Strike scene. It started with three Serious-Gaming players leaving their organization in order to start up something new. Then yesterday two players from the Finish top team astralis, ruuit and contE decided to leave their team as well. Rumors had it that those two players were to join up together with the former players of Serious-Gaming, naSu, toNppa and lurppis. Those rumors got confirmed today as these five players announced that they have now joined up and become a part of the German organization hoorai.
