AllTheRage adds Galahat for CPL Summer

Today the current Gamelaunch and former Asylum and SoA member Søren "Galahat" Eriksen, was announced as the AllTheRage.dk fifth player at this years CPL Summer 2006 tournament. Galahat will be replacing Jonas "whiMp" Svendsen, who will be unfortunately unable to attend the CPL event due to personal reasons. When ATR player Thomas "MoRf4r" Holm was asked regarding the addition of Galahat as a replacement he said the following; "Galahat is a skilled and experienced player as well as a good tactical leader. Besides, we all know each other pretty well and that made the decision easy to make". The CPL Announces ATI as Title Sponsor

A few months ago back the Cyberathlete Professional League (CPL) held Intel and NVIDIA as their two title sponsors, well today they announced that ATI Technologies, a world leader in the design and manufacture of innovative 3D graphics, PC platform technologies and digital media silicon solutions, has become a Worldwide Title Sponsor of the CPL. This means their two new title sponsors are AMD and ATI, rivals of Intel and NVIDIA. ATI will provide title sponsorship for all CPL's worldwide computer games tournaments and will be a primary sponsor of the CPL Winter 2006 Championships, taking place December 13–17, 2006 in Dallas, Texas. NGL-One - Tonights Matches

Its time for match day 5 in the NGL-One Counter-Strike League where its safe to say Europes finest are playing. Tonights two top matches will be played both at 20:00 CET. First one will be two German teams who faced each other earlier this weekend in the ESL Pro Series VIII  ALTERNATE aTTaX and Mousesports. And it was aTTax that drew the longest straw both of the times they met so will a third time be a charm for Mousesports or will they once again be out played be the new rising team aTTaX. Second match will be between the Spanish x6tence and Swedish SK-Gaming which should also be an exciting one. Here SK-Gaming are the favorites and currently positioned 4th on the table after their recent win over fnatic while x6tence is down on the 7th with 2 wins and 2 losses. Xione joins xlnz - zevy goes inactive

Not so long ago, Xione went inactive, and the danish player Paddy took his place in team NoA. Now, things have changed. Xione has returned, and he has joined the norwegian clan, eXcellence. The person he is replacing is zevy, who is going inactive since he doesn't have the time to focus on the game as much as before. Team eXcellence's next event will be DreamHack , where they are going to play for a spot in the WSVG finals. The Norwegian gaming organization Catch-Gamer published just recently an article about the Norwegian top team Aftermath, who currently plays under the name of H2k.Aftermath. Earlier this weekend the ESL Pro Series VIII playoffs were held in Köln, Germany. The German team ALTERNATE aTTaX went trough the entire playoffs undefeated beating the top team Mousesports twice in the event and are now most definitely crowned as the best German team in their country. But the team has also made a name for them selves internationally also with their amazing play in the NGL One league where they are currently leading the table. Today our friends over at MeetYouMakers released a interview with one of the players at aTTaX, silver. The interview contains mostly silver's personal thoughts about the finals against Mousesports and what the future looks like for his team. dM.Female becomes A-Gaming

A few weeks ago we wrote that the gaming organization EYEBallers parted ways with their female Counter-Strike team due that the team wanted to join the Dutch organization DigitalMind. The team performed well there and even got invited to the ESWC female tournament, how ever just recently it has been announced that the team will be leaving their organization once again. Their new home will be at the company aurora-gaming. In a interview with NiP-Gaming the girls say the reason of them leaving dM was cause they did not get the resources that they needed which they will get with aurora. CPL Devolpes Anti-Cheat Solution

The Cyberathlete Professional League, or better known as the CPL, announced just recently that they will be developing a new Anti-Cheat Solution for its online league, the Cyberathlete Amateur League (CAL). Over the years the league has suffered from various of players who have been using illegal software in order to enhance their performance. ESL VIII - elemeNt voted as Rookie of the Year

During the playoff finals in the ESL Pro Series VIII this weekend in Köln, they also awarded three players and one manager for their hard effort and their excellent performance for this season. As you know it was ALTERNATE aTTaX that won the playoffs after beating Mousesports in the finals 16-9. aTTaX would be also the one to take home two awards, Most Valuable Player and the Manager of the Season.
